Welcome to Big Run Farms, a small farm in Fleming Co., Kentucky focused on the production of raw wildflower honey, cut flowers, and elderberries. We do not use synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides on our land and are committed to organic principles.

Founded in 2020

Our first focus at Big Run Farms was establishing our apiary, with our first raw wildflower honey produced in 2022. Honey production is ramping up in 2025 as we are adding additional hives into the apiary. We have three types of honeybees: italian, carniolan, and buckfast.

In 2024 we purchased a greenhouse and began producing flowers for arrangements. This will be expanding in 2025 onward to offer more varieties, including dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, peony, hydrangea, lilac, and larkspur.

Elderberries are our latest endeavor with our first crop of berries expected in summer 2026. Our varieties are Pochahontas, Bob Gordon, and Wyldwood. For 2027 we are adding Ranch and York varieties.
